Understanding Braid Sizes

Not sure which braid size to book? Here’s a quick visual guide to help you choose the look that fits your style and maintenance preferences. The size of your parts determines the size of your braids, and also how full or lightweight your style will feel.

  • Extra Small

    These are the most detailed and compact, perfect for a super sleek finish with high density. Expect 15–18 rows across the head depending on head size. Best for clients who love long-lasting styles and clean parting

  • Small

    A great balance between detail and versatility. These usually have 12–14 rows, offering a neat, full look that still feels lightweight and flexible.

  • Medium

    This size offers quicker install times with a slightly fuller braid look. Expect around 8–10 rows, ideal for those wanting definition without too much density.

  • Large

    These are the most spacious in terms of parts and give a bold, statement look. Typically includes 6–8 rows. Great for low-maintenance, high-impact styles.

Hair Is Included

For all braid styles, braiding hair is included in your service, no need to worry about bringing your own unless you prefer to.

  • We use X-Pressions pre-stretched braiding hair for all styles to ensure a clean, smooth finish and lasting results.

  • For boho styles, we use 100% human hair to achieve that soft, flowy, natural look.

  • If you’d rather bring your own hair, that’s totally fine too, just be sure it’s the appropriate type and texture for the style you’re booking.
